was most gratifying to him , and he was sure it would be to all the P . M . W . S . 's , and would make a great impression on the candidate . He ( Bro . Banister ) thanked the M . W . S . for the very kind expressions he had made in proposing his health , and the very kind and cordial way in which it was always received by his brethren ; but he vvas getting old and

had to take every care of himself . He had had many warnings of late in the removal of old and valued friends , one so very recently in the sudden death of his dear friend , Bro . G . P . Brockbank , a member of the 32 . Still , he would come amongst them when his health permitted , and with regard to that chapter it was his duty and privilege to help them to the best of his ability , seeing that he vvas the first M . S ., proposed "The

Health of the M . W . S ., III . Bro . R . W . Bourne , 30 , " and said Bro . Bourne had given them proof of his ability to carry out every detail of the beautiful ceremony ; indeed , it rarely happened that a M . W . S . on the day of his installation was able to perfect the candidate as they had witnessed it given by his friend , the M . VV . S . He had watched his Masonic career , and in every Degree their M . VV . S . had

shown himself to be a thorough Master , and he wished him every success . On the M . W . S . rising to respond he was received by acclamation , and in an excellent speech concluded by thanking the brethren for their great kindness to him . He then proposed " The Health of the Candidate , " and said he vvas sorry the other two candidates vvere unable to come ,

G . of the district , was obliged to leave after installing the M . W . S . as the train he was obliged to return home by did not give him time to remain to witness the excellent manner in which the M . W . S . gave the Degree to the candidate . It

was most gratifying to him , and he was sure it would be to all the P . M . W .
