The Prince of Wales arrived at York on Monday evening on a visit to the ioth Hussars , who are quartered at Fulford Barracks , and in which Prince Albert Victor holds a captaincy . His Royal Highness was met at the station by his son , and afterwards messed with the officers .

lhe anniversary of the production , and the 371 st performance , of "Sweet Lavender , " took place at Terry ' s Theatre on Thursday evening , on which occasion souvenirs were presented to visitors to all parts of the house . On the same day the company gave a matinee performance at Brighton , and partook of the anniversary dinner in a Pullman car on their journey to town .

It was unanimously resolved that the summer festival in connection with the encampment be held at the Mitre Hotel , Hampton Court , on the 23 th June next . Sir Knight W . Paas gave a notice of motion , "That the sum of 10 guineas be voted from the funds and placed on the list of Sir Knight T . C Walls , as Steward to the R . M . I , for Boys ' Festival in June next . The usual toasts vvere given .-Sir Knight Col . Shadwell H . Clerke , in responding for " The Great Officers , " expressed the great pleasure it had afforded him and the other officers of Great Priory in being

presene that evening . He had been exceedingly gratified with the manner in which Sir Knight Captain Stohwasser had performed his work . The assistance given by the other officers of the preceptory deserved all praise . Itwas to bc regretted that so old a preceptory or encampment

had not in its possession the records of its early history . He firmly believed that the Mount Calvary was one of , if not the oldest , preceptory in England . They had records that it was resuscitated early in the present century , but when it was founded was lost in the dim past . The Mount Calvary possessed a very energetic Registrar of an antiquarian turn of mind , and perhaps he might be able to unravel the

MOUNT CALVARY ENCAMPMENT ( D . ) . —This old encampment met at the Inns of Court Hotel , Lincoln's Inn , on the Sth instant . Among those present were Sir Knights Col . S . H . Clerke , Great Sub-Prior ( Hon . Mem . ); Capt . F . J . Stohwasser E . G . ; H . J . Lardner , ist Capt . ; Wood , 2 nd Capt . ; W . Paas , P . G . B . B ., P . E . C , Treas . ; T . C . Walls , P . G . C . of G ., P . E . C , Reg ., acting Expert ; L . Steele , C . of L . ; N . Prower ,

M . A ., Std . Br . ; W . Maple , Herald ; 1 . H . Dodson , I . P . E . C ; F . W . Driver , M . A . P . E . C ; G . Graveley , P . E . C ; and others . Among the visitors were Sir Knights F . Philbrick , Q . C , G . C , P . E . P ., & c ; Raymond H . Thrupp , G . K ., P . E . P ., & c ; W . Ganz , G . Org . ; and others .

The minutes of the previous encampment having been read and confirmed , the ballot was taken for Comps . Bell and Hawkins , and they , being in attendance , was impressively installed as Knights ot the Order by the E . C . It was unanimously resolved that the summer festival in connection with the encampment be held at the Mitre Hotel , Hampton Court , on the 23 th June next . Sir Knight W . Paas gave a notice of motion , "That the sum of 10 guineas be voted from the funds and placed on the list of Sir Knight T . C Walls , as Steward to the R . M . I , for Boys ' Festival in June next . " Letters of apology expressing regret at absence were read from Sir Knights A . Williams , P . E . C ; F . Binckes , P . E . C , & c . j Thomas , Herald ; Kelly , F . Richardson ,

P . E . P ., & c . ; Major G . Lambert , P . E . P ., & c . j Letchworth , P . E . P ., & c . ; and many others . The banquet which followed was well served . The usual toasts vvere given .-Sir Knight Col . Shadwell H . Clerke , in responding for " The Great Officers , " expressed the great pleasure it had afforded him and the other officers of Great Priory in being

presene that evening . He had been exceedingly gratified with the manner in which Sir Knight Captain Stohwasser had performed his work . The assistance given by the other officers of the preceptory deserved all praise . Itwas to bc regretted that so old a preceptory or encampment

had not in its possession the records of its early history . He firmly believed that the Mount Calvary was one of , if not the oldest , preceptory in England . They had records that it was resuscitated early in the present century , but when it was founded was lost in the dim past . The Mount Calvary possessed a very energetic Registrar of an antiquarian turn of mind , and perhaps he might be able to unravel the
