father , Mr . Samuel Homfray , who died on ( he n'itli ult ., at the advance-el age of eighty-seven . We beg publicly , as we have- done ! already in private , to express our regret to Bro . Homfray for the error into which we we > re led by imperfect and , as it has proved , erroneous information , conveyed to us at a period of the week which gave us no time to make further inquiries .
